The Cévennes National Park

Close to Anduze, gateway to the Cévennes, located to the south of the National Park, our charming hotel with outdoor swimming pool is surrounded by renowned tourist sites and activities to do with friends or as a couple. You can take advantage of your stay at the Hôtel Les 3 Barbus to explore the preserved nature of the national park on foot or by bike, thanks to the many hiking trails offered by the region. One of the most remarkable of all is that of the "Corniche des Cévennes" which will give you access to an exceptional view of the Cévennes and the Massif Central, in particular. During your stay, take advantage of the proximity to the Gardon river, to discover the gorges of the river and the small canyons of our Cévennes.

Anduze and its little steam train

The picturesque village of Anduze, called the Gateway to the Cévennes, is located just 5 km from our hotel. This charming town of character is worth discovering. It is home to many historical monuments that will delight history and heritage enthusiasts: the Clock Tower, the Protestant Temple and the Pézène Tower. Stroll through its cobbled streets and meet local artisans. Departing from Anduze station, the little Cévennes steam train begins its journey through lush greenery. For a unique experience, take a ride on this train to the Bambouseraie and Saint-Jean-du-Gard.

Bamboo grove in Cévennes

For an unusual visit and an experience in the heart of nature, set off to discover the Bambouseraie d’Anduze, ranked among the most beautiful gardens in France. Explore the vast botanical garden to discover more than 1000 varieties of trees, bamboos, rare flowers, but also plants of all kinds.

Trabuc Caves

You will stay just 5 km from the remarkable site of the Grottes de Trabuc. Visit these narrow caves that sheltered prehistoric men and then served as a refuge for the Camisards. For an activity full of history in the footsteps of the first men, explore these caves during a guided tour.

Maison Rouge, a place bearing the silky memory of the Cévennes

It was on this site that the first industrial spinning mill in France was set up with the famous Gensoul process. In January 1965, Maison Rouge closed its doors for good and with it the last French silk spinning mill disappeared.
Maison Rouge rose from its ashes half a century later to now house the collections of the Musée des vallées cévenoles. The rhythmic museography successively offers libraries and cabinets of curiosities, beautiful, richly composed display cases, stagings or objects placed in alcoves. 

Pont du Gard

In the heart of the scrubland, less than an hour's drive from the Hotel Les 3 Barbus is a remarkable Roman construction, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During a visit to lush greenery, with the scents of Provence and on the banks of the Gardon, you can discover this magnificent building, the Pont du Gard, which has stood the test of time and bad weather. A building listed as a Historic Monument, with exceptional architecture.

Uzès and its market

For a complete immersion in the culture of the region, you can go and discover the city of Uzès and its exceptional monuments. It is by visiting its Wednesday or Saturday morning market that you will discover the culture of the Gard and the specialties of the region.

Cirque de Navacelle

This geological curiosity of the Cévennes, also nicknamed "the oyster" by the Cévenols (the inhabitants of the Cévennes) is a true beauty of nature, shaped by time. From the top of one of the largest canyons in Europe, you can discover breathtaking and green landscapes.
