History of the property and Domaine des 3 Barbus
The 4-star hotel Les 3 Barbus is part of Domaine des 3 Barbus, a unique estate nestled in the heart of the Cévennes countryside, in the small village of Générargues near Anduze, in the Gard region. The domaine also includes a 3-star hotel.
Built in 1968 and inaugurated in July 1970, this stone property blends the charm of its origins with modern comforts. Antique furniture, characterful architecture and a warm atmosphere invite guests to unwind, whether in the lounge by the large fireplace or on one of the terraces, in harmony with the peaceful rhythm of nature.
Domaine des 3 Barbus was founded by three brothers, the “three bearded men”, on their family property bordering the gardon river.
